True 1:1 Therapy

At the Arizona Autism Clinic, your child will receive individualized 1:1 therapy based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Goals are developed based on each child’s individual needs and may include but are not limited to:

    Communication & Social Development

At the Arizona Autism Clinic, your child receives individualized 1:1 therapy based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We focus on improving:

    • Communication and Language

    • Social Skills

    • Motor Skills

    • Sitting and Attending Skills

    • Appropriate Play and Leisure Skills

    Daily Living & Transitional Skills

We also emphasize confidence in daily routines and smooth transitions. Goals can include:

    • Self-Care (e.g., showering, toileting)

    • Potty Training

    • Feeding Issues

    • Transitions to a Traditional Learning Environment (if desired)

    Sensory Regulation

At the Arizona Autism Clinic, we understand that sensory exploration is a vital part of each child’s journey. Our individualized approach weaves sensory-based activities into daily therapy, helping children comfortably engage with various textures, sights, sounds, and movements. By doing so, we aim to boost cognitive, social, and emotional growth, while also building confidence and self-regulation skills. Each child’s sensory plan is thoughtfully tailored to meet their unique needs, ensuring they have a safe, supportive environment to discover and learn.

      Sensory Activities

We take your child’s sensory needs seriously by offering a variety of sensory toys, daily games, activities, and social play opportunities. If your child has a Sensory Diet prescribed by an occupational therapist, let us know!

Sensory activities effectively engage all areas of a child’s brain—supporting their cognitive, emotional, physical, social, and communication development. For autistic children, regular sensory play can retrain the brain’s response to sensory information.

      Community Events

Sensory exploration doesn’t stop at our center. We host community-inspired events that allow your child to safely interact with the outside world—introducing new tactile sensations and real-world learning opportunities.

Venturing outdoors helps children learn how to adapt to different environments, practice safe behavior, and develop social skills. By encountering new experiences in a structured setting, they build confidence and independence that carries over into everyday life.

      Support Center

Our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is available to meet with families to discuss their child’s progress and any issues they may be having at home or in the community. Our Student and Family Support Coordinator works closely with families to ensure that parents feel supported and have access to the resources they need.

We help you every step of the way.

        Funding & Insurance

We assist you in getting set up with funding that may help cover the cost of therapy and services. Payment plans can be arranged if additional financial support is needed. Our team will bill your insurance for the services we provide. Depending on your policy, you may have a co-payment or deductible. During the initial onboarding process, we’ll clarify all potential costs and communicate any financial details so you know exactly what to expect.

        Support Groups

We host regular parent support groups where families and staff come together to learn from each other and share mutual support. Led by Board Certified BCBAs and other qualified professionals, these sessions keep you up to date on the latest strategies for working with children on the autism spectrum. They’re also a valuable chance to socialize with other families facing similar challenges and celebrating similar successes.

        Monthly Parent Training

Our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) meets with you monthly to discuss your child’s progress, address any home or community concerns, and offer individualized guidance. Spouses, grandparents, and other caregivers are invited to attend, helping ensure everyone in your child’s life is informed and involved in their growth.

        Monthly Sibling Workshop

Siblings play a key role in your child’s everyday experiences. With guidance from our clinical team, we run a monthly program dedicated to siblings—giving them a supportive space to talk with peers who share similar experiences, make new friends, and build their own coping and communication skills.

        Regular Communication

We value continuous collaboration between families and our staff. You’ll receive updates through phone calls, emails, or personal visits. This open, consistent communication helps us maintain a genuine partnership with your family—making sure you and your child always come first.

12 Indicators of a Quality ABA Program

Selecting an ABA program is a vital step in supporting your child’s development and independence. The following indicators outline what to look for in a high-quality ABA program—from early intervention and family involvement to personalized treatment plans and data-driven progress monitoring. By ensuring these elements are in place, you can feel confident in the long-term benefits and positive outcomes for your child.

          1. Begin ABA Therapy early, preferably before the age of 3. We find that this allows for the best long term results and quality of life for our clients.
          2. Ensure your ABA Therapist is working closely with your family- including extended family and caregivers.
          3. Make sure the therapy your loved one is getting includes their personal preferences as a source of motivation and to ensure their happiness
          4. We focus on helping our clients to be independent as possible, as appropriate for their age
          5. That the therapy provides a structured environment
          6. All treatment plans should include generalization to natural environments, such as the movies or store
          7. Places and emphasis on building communication skills
          8. ABA therapy should focus on teaching play/leisure skills and facilitating social opportunities
          9. A clinic should offer opportunity to practice mastered skills, as this helps to prevent regression
          10. An ABA clinic should offer a customized treatment plan for each client.  No cookie cutters allowed!
          11. We work hard to ensure client consent is obtained before conducting assessments or implementing treatments behavior plans
          12. How do we know its working? We place an emphasis on data collection during all of our sessions and are able to compare this to pre-treatment (baseline) measures
